This is a well made and stylish bed frame. The head board with a pillow against it is very comfortable and inobtrusive (some headboards can be incredibly uncomfortable to lean against even with pillows). The dark chocolate finish is well done and the wood is very smooth, but still shows a pleasant natural grain.

Unfortunately, it’s not perfect, and if you’re buying this bed I hope you read this bit. It’s difficult to see, but is still visible in the photo, there’s a third row of legs that go up the middle of the bed. These add additional support for the weight of the mattress, but I dislike them. They aren’t glaringly obvious, you won’t notice them once the bed is put together, but they meant something else to me. They meant that the manufacturer wasn’t confident enough in the construction of their bed to have the bed be built without the additional support. If you planned on sliding long aftermarket drawers under this bed think again, the third row of legs will block them.

Also, part of the wood cracked when I inserted one of the included wooden dowels. This was unfortunate, but the bed has 2 dowels and 2 bolts which hold each part together, so it’s still plenty strong. I used a bit of wood glue and reinforced the crack.

I’ve been using this bed a month now with no problems. I really do like the simple design and clean lines. If you’re looking for something that doesn’t scream “look at me!” but instead has simple elegance, go with this bed.
